*6W* Mother Rock "Brutal!" Chenin Blanc (Swartland, SA)

Pithy orange gatorade. Simply delicious. Coming from coastal, coffee clip soils, there are clear notes of flinty reduction and definitive salinity.

    About The Varietal

    Chenin Blanc

Chenin Blanc, a flexible white wine grape type, has a history of cultivation in France for almost 1300 years. It is predominantly linked with France's Loire Valley but also produces some of South Africa's finest white wines

    About The Producer

    Mother Rock

Johan Meyer, also known as "Stompie," has swiftly gained recognition in the emerging South African wine industry. While his Signature wines, named after him, showcase his passion for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Stompie has extended his reach by creating Mother Rock Wines in collaboration with his UK importer, Ben Henshaw of Indigo Wines. Mother Rock is dedicated to exploring outstanding parcels of sustainably-farmed vines across various soil types. Both brands are deeply rooted in the South African wine scene, with Chenin Blanc being a central focus for the whites and field blends characterizing the reds. These terroir-focused wines are crafted for drinkability and enjoyment, complemented by the visually appealing labels.
