*6W* 2022 Alvina Pernot Les Charmes Meursault (Burgundy, FR)

    95 Points, Decanter

"The delicious Meursault Charmes from Alvina Pernot boasts ripe apple aromas with hints of acacia flower, butter, hazelnut. The texture is rich, but there is enough acidity to keep the wine balanced through the pleasantly lingering finish. The grapes come from an exchange with a grower who has a parcel in Charmes Dessous. The reductive handling and limited use. of new oak help make this a sleek, stylish wine, even in a hot year like 2022."

    About The Varietal

    Chardonnay

Chardonnay, possibly the most famous among white grape varieties, is frequently regarded as reaching its peak expression in its Burgundian birthplace. However, this grape has journeyed across the globe, and Chardonnay wines, ranging from outstanding to less inspiring, can now be discovered in various wine-producing regions worldwide.
