Cooler alpine and maritime climate wines with light-body and high acidity
Charles Gonnet Chignin is crafted entirely from Jacquere grapes, which are harvested by hand, promptly pressed, fermented in tanks, and aged for six months on the lees. This wine exhibits a refreshing character, with a honey-like taste profile that includes floral hints of ruby red grapefruit and honeysuckle blossom.
About The Varietal
Jacquère is a pristine and invigorating alpine white grape variety cultivated in Savoie, France. While the white wines made from Jacquère grapes are highly regarded, they have traditionally been challenging to find beyond the borders of France.
Enjoy with grilled shrimp, crab salad, grilled scallops, or a cucumber salad.
