The grapes for this bottle are sourced from the La Plana vineyard plot, the highest within the Ygay estate at 1,500 feet. This elevation gives this wine a lift, presenting a light and elegant bouquet of ripe red fruit, spices and cedar. The palate is textured and complex, with fruit, spice and leather taking center stage. This flavor combination lends especially well to stewed meats or aged cheeses. 

The family behind Marques de Murrieta are one of the oldest in the Rioja, founded in 1852. With so many years under their belt, there is no wonder this Rioja is picture perfect.
