Creamier wines with balanced fruit, alcohol, acidity, and body. The "yummy" section.
Just Southwest of St. Helena sits Marciano’s 20 acre estate and winery that dates back to 1872. Winemaker, Morgan Maureze, is a 5th generation winemaker who grew up working at Dominus alongside his father, before learning through experience at Chateau Haut-Brion, Domaine de la Romanee Conti, and Screaming Eagle - so you already know this bottle will be killer!
Enjoy intense aromas of black cherry, blackberries, vanilla, freshly cut wood and herbs. The palate is rich, with soft, fresh tannins boasting flavors of baking spices, cocoa, dried cranberries and figs which culminate to a balanced, dry finish. While this is extremely approachable now, cellaring this bottle for 3-5 years will only make this wine shine brighter.
About The Varietal
A red Bordeaux blend primarily consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, supplemented by smaller amounts of Malbec and Petit Verdot, with Carmenere occasionally included. While the term naturally applies to red wines from Bordeaux, it is also suitable for wines produced beyond the region, such as those from California, Washington, Argentina, and other locations.
Enjoy with red meat, stews, or Indian spices.
