Warmer growing regions, fully ripened grapes, extended barrel-aging add to the wine’s body
This wine displays a deep ruby hue and opens with enticing aromas of black fruits, spices, and earthy notes. On the palate, it reveals a full-bodied character with pronounced flavors of blackberries, cassis, and licorice. The finish is long and persistent, allowing the rich and complex layers of the wine to linger on the palate. The combination of dark fruit, spice, and earth elements contributes to a well-rounded and satisfying tasting experience.
About The Varietal
Carignan is a grape variety with dark skin, believed to have originated in Aragon. This grape is prevalent in wines produced along the Mediterranean coast, particularly in northeastern Spain and the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France. It is frequently used for blending with other significant regional grape varieties, including Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre.
Enjoy with charred vegetables, bolognese, or a hearty clam bake.
