Medium-bodied wines with more structure and a mouth-feel similar to whole milk
In the heart of vineyard-dappled landscapes, Domaine la Cabotte, bears the name of the rustic stone shelters peppered across its expanse. Certified organic and biodynamic, these vines thrive in the nutrient-poor limestone and sandy soils of the Massif d’Uchaux plateau, yielding wines of remarkable finesse and urban allure. Owned by the Burgundian Plumet family since 1981, the winemaking shows some parallel.
About The Varietal
The traditional and robust blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre is typically linked to the southern Rhone, notably in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. However, exceptional wines with this blend are also crafted in the New World, with Australia and California standing out as regions that produce highly praised examples.
Enjoy with braised or game meats or herb heavy eggplant.
