Varietal: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon
Region: Saint Emilion, Bordeaux, France
Chateau Lassegue is nestled in St. Emilion and was acquired by the Jackson Family in 2003. From there, came a transformation into one of the premier estates in the region of Bordeaux. Under the guidance of Winemaker Pierre Seillan (celebrated for his Verite wines) the Lassegue team consistently crafts exceptional wines vintage after vintage. Located on the Côte de Saint-Emilion, the vineyards benefit from exceptional soils and an ideal south/south-west sun exposure. Exploring the estate's unique micro-crus, Pierre Seillan identified the potential to create unique and diverse wines.
The 2019 vintage, sourced from 50-60-year-old estate vines, comprises 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. Les Cadrans de Lassegue, the estate's second label, embodies refined elegance and fruit expression. For your next lamb kebab craving, think of this bottle, the notes of red and dark berries mixed with earthy tobacco will be an unforgettable meal.
