Now in their third generation of winemaking, Casa Monte Pio believes that the secret to good wine is in the soil. Their albarino shows fresh minerality and saltiness, with notes of stone fruit and citrus.
About The Varietal
This green-skinned grape variety originates from Galicia, situated on the northern Atlantic coast of Spain. It is most famous for being the primary grape variety in the Rias Baixas DO, where it is used to craft fresh, and often, texturally rich white wines featuring notes of peach, citrus, and minerals, making them an ideal accompaniment to the region's seafood.
