Warmer growing regions, fully ripened grapes, extended barrel-aging add to the wine’s body

From a west-facing parcel of vines planted in 1998 and 2000, the soil here is clay-limestone, like in Manciat's other plots, but here it is particularly rich in chalk with less clay and more little stones. The fruit is harvested by hand and fermented in used barrels with indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged in barrel on its fine lees with periodic bâtonnage. Look for floral, fruity aromas, especially yellow orchard fruit, with a flinty minerality that screams terroir.
About The Varietal
Chardonnay, possibly the most famous among white grape varieties, is frequently regarded as reaching its peak expression in its Burgundian birthplace. However, this grape has journeyed across the globe, and Chardonnay wines, ranging from outstanding to less inspiring, can now be discovered in various wine-producing regions worldwide.
Enjoy with roasted veggies with a bit of cheese or dairy! Creamed spinach, broccoli cheddar soup, or a loaded baked potato are our favs!
