*7W* 2022 Aslina Chardonnay (Stellenbosch, SA)

Hailing from the rolling hills of Zululand, Ntsiki Biyela embarked on a life-changing journey to the Cape Winelands, where she discovered her talent and passion for crafting captivating wines. Out of her dream comes a brand that pays tribute to her beloved grandmother, Aslina.

This complex, fruit-forward Chardonnay is creamy and full-bodied. With great acidity balancing out the wood, this wine offers a beautiful tropical fruit and limy character. Pair with rich seafood dishes pasta in a white wine sauce.

    About The Varietal

    Chardonnay

Chardonnay, possibly the most famous among white grape varieties, is frequently regarded as reaching its peak expression in its Burgundian birthplace. However, this grape has journeyed across the globe, and Chardonnay wines, ranging from outstanding to less inspiring, can now be discovered in various wine-producing regions worldwide.

    About The Producer

    Aslina

Ntsiki Biyela, one of South Africa's iconic black, female winemakers, established Aslina Wines in 2016. Inspired by and named after her grandmother, Biyela poured her inspirations of strength and determination into her renowned range of premium wines. The decision to create her own wines only grew following a partnership with Helen Kiplinger, a Californian winemaker, as a part of Mika Bulmash's Wine for the World initiative.
