About The Varietal
Bical is a grape variety with yellow skin, cultivated in the northern central region of Portugal. Its elevated acidity often leads to its inclusion in regional sparkling wines, where it's commonly blended with Arinto. However, Bical is also employed in the production of both blended and single-varietal dry table wines. Bical is recognized for its fruity flavors reminiscent of apricot and peach, and in warmer years, it may exhibit tropical notes.
