*2R* 2017 Kita "Hilliard Bruce Vineyard" Pinot Noir (Sta. Rita Hills, CA)

    2R

Cooler alpine and maritime climate wines with light-body and high acidity

*2R* 2017 Kita "Hilliard Bruce Vineyard" Pinot Noir (Sta. Rita Hills, CA)

This garnet colored wine is playful yet intense. Its aromatics begin with cranberry, crushed wet rocks and vanilla and then deepen into raspberry and cherry cola. This wine makes a lasting impression on the mid-palate with complex round tannins and medium bright acidity. It harmonizes on your palate with a pronounced spiciness of tobacco, sassafras, dried herbs and bramble. A soft velvety texture highlights characters of earth, violets and pomegranates. The cool growing region and marine influence allow the elegance of this wine to shine and for the lengthy finish to remain with you.." - Tara Gomez

    About The Producer

    Kita

Kita is the first wine brand owned by a Native American tribe headed by a Native American winemaker. Due to unfortunate economic conditions, Kita decided to close its doors for good this past April leaving behind one last vintage. Founded in 2010 by descendants of the Chumash of Coastal California, Kita began producing high quality wines in the Santa Ynez Valley, grown on the traditional land of the Chumash people.
