Pibarnon has long been considered the best red wine producer in Bandol, France. This Mourvèdre is herbaceous, sweet and soft with notes of baking spice, dark red and black fruit, and licorice. This is a perfect dinner party wine because every red wine drinker will find something to love. Like a soft cashmere sweater on a cold night, this wine is enveloping and comforting. But never dull or boring!

    About The Varietal

    Mourvedre

Mourvèdre, also known as Monastrell in its native Spain, Mataro in Australia and California, is a black-skinned grape variety that has been cultivated in vineyards across the western Mediterranean for centuries. Believed to have its origins in Spain, it is now widely planted throughout the Iberian Peninsula, southern France, California, and South Australia, reflecting its adaptability and global reach.
