Creamier wines with balanced fruit, alcohol, acidity, and body. The "yummy" section.
Hailing from Paolo Bea's highest elevation vineyard (named Cerrete) which sits 450-500 meters above sea level, this incredible wine is a benchmark for both the region and for Sagrantino. The 2015 is a stunning, more opulent and layered, yet maintaining the cru’s signature poise. With a soaring nose of dried herbs, deep red fruits, and a touch of gravel, it displays an incredible integration of its elements on the palate, which is ultra-concentrated yet elegant.
About The Varietal
Sagrantino is a red wine grape variety known for its deep color, primarily cultivated in the Umbria region of Central Italy. It is often characterized as Italy's most tannic grape, surpassing even Nebbiolo in this aspect.
Enjoy with red meat, stews, or Indian spices.
