Region: Meursault, Cote de Beaune, Burgundy, France
The Domaine of Darviot-Perrin is internationally considered one of the finest sources of red & white Burgundy. One would think this Domaine has been round for centuries yet the first vintage was in 1989. The prestige of these wines come in part from Didier Darviot learning his craft alongside his legendary father in law, Pierre Perrin. Pierre also gifted a plethora of heirloom vines throughout the Cote de Beaune to what we now know as Darviot-Perrin.
Darviot-Perrin’s “Les Longbois” comes from 15 year old vines planted at the very top of a hill in clay-rich soils resulting in a ripe, powerful wine. Rounded fruit fill your palate followed by a core of stony minerality and energetic citrusy acidity.
