If you're familiar with orange wines, you'll appreciate this beauty. If you're brand new to the style, prepare to be amazed!
The wine is aged in enormous clay pots, called Qvevri, underground, with the grape skins and stems all included during fermentation. This lets the wine intentionally oxidize (turning an orange/amber color) and it becomes incredibly savory in flavor, with nutty caramel notes and a lovely texture. Serve slightly chilled with cured meats and cheeses for the ultimate amber wine experience.
