La Spinetta's "Gallina" represents the story of a family with the dream of building a great cellar for the production of Piedmontese red wines. The dream came true, and today La Spinetta produces some of our favorite Italian wines.
The vines of "Gallina" are anywhere between 35-45 years old, enjoying a happy life in their calcareous soils and south facing hills. The nose is a true mingling of aromas - cherry, raspberry, rose petals, tobacco, earth. While the palate initially features bright, juicy fruit but is followed by savory herbs, leather and earth. With almost 10 years of age, this is soon going to be a perfect bottle of wine.
