Xicaru - meaning "Beautiful" in Zapotec - is made by Fernando Santibañez using his grandmother's recipe based off traditional methods. The natural smokey flavor is from cooking the 100% Agave espadin in a conical stone oven over mesquite and local pine wood. The Xicaru Silver is double-distilled in a copper potstill and bottled without ageing. Earthy and robust yet also citrusy and clean, this mezcal is as versatile as it is delicious!
