Ken Forrester and his wife took over one of South Africa’s oldest wine estates in 1994, when they bought the derelict house and vineyards at auction.Today they make some of South Africa’s signature wines. The Sparklehorse is a Methode Cap Classique, a South African riff on the traditional Champagne style made from Chenin Blanc. The result is a floral, crisp, and zesty sparkling wine that is unassuming and fun yet layered and interesting. Take this wine to spring flings and summer shindigs.
