NV Bollinger "PN VZ16" Blanc de Noirs Brut (Champagne, FR)

Varietal: Pinot Noir

Region: Verzenay, Champagne, France

Sustainable

The first new permanent addition to the Bollinger line of rosé since 2008, the PN VZ16 showcases different terroirs of Pinot Noir, in this case that of Verzenay. Although a non-vintaged wine, exactly 50% of the juice for this bottling comes from the 2016 vintage in Verzenay. The rest is different crus of pinot noir, with about 20% reserve wine dating from 2006 rounding out the assemblage. This is a wine that shows tremendous tension, elegance, and salinity. 7g/L dosage gives this wine great body & energy, with abundant red fruit flavors, rhubarb, and quince, with a vibrant, chalky, mineral-driven finish.
