The Vago "Elote" is triple-distilled espadin agave in a copper potstill. Inbetween the second and third distillations, mezcalero Aquilino Garcia Lopez adds a small amount of roasted corn from his farm to smooth the edges ever so slightly. Beautifully balanced, it combines notes of sundried river stones, honeycomb, green tropical fruit and smoke. All the information regarding the entire distillation process is on the front of each label in an effort to empower both the master craftsman and his art, as well as the consumer by giving them the knowledge to find an excellent mezcal.
