Varietal: 60% Pinot Meunier, 20% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Noir
Region: Champagne, France
FEMALE WINEMAKER
With a higher percentage of Pinot Meunier (most often used as a blending grape in Champagne), the J. Lassalle "Preference" is a more robust, vinous, and full-bodied style. Red fruit, especially strawberry, along with sea shell and lemon zest jump from the glass, while the palate shows a precise minerality and a long finish with excellent acidity. The wine is made from plots of 50 year old vines and spends 48 months on the lees for all that toasty, leesy goodness.
