Region: Borderies, Cognac, France
Fanny Fougerat is a 4th generation distiller, and currently the only woman who bottles and distills her own Cognac! She applies a Burgundian, terroir-driven approach to her spirits, using single parcels as opposed to blending into a 'house style'. The "Iris Poivré" is aged for approximately 12 years total; 15% of the batch is aged for 1 year in new oak, the rest is aged in neutral oak. This is the most structured & poised of the Fougerat Cognacs, with pronounced spice & floral aromas.
