The vineyard name, "Vigne de l'Enfant Jésus", refers to an old story about Marguerite du Saint Sacrement, the founding carmelite of the "Domestiques de la famille du Saint Enfant Jesus". The story goes that Marguerite du Saint Sacrement predicted the birth of the King of France, Louis XIV, even though his mother, Anne of Austria, was sterile. On the birth of the future king, this exceptional vineyard which belonged to the Carmelites, took on the name "Vigne de l'Enfant Jésus" and later was purchased by Bouchard Père & Fils who maintains a monopoly on the vineyard to this day.

This elegant Premier Cru Burgundy exhibits notes of spice aromas, red fruit, and earthy aromas on the nose which is paired with red and dark fruits, baking chocolate, and toasty oak flavors on the palate. With well integrated acidity and velvety tannins, the wine finishes smooth and keeps you wanting for another sip.
