The 5.6 acre Domaine Jacques Prieur parcel of 1er Cru Champ-Pimont sits on the slope overlooking the town of Beaune just west of the village. The vineyard faces due east and produces both red and white wines of superior quality. The soils range from clay based in the lower slopes to mineral rich (iron) gravel soils further up the the slope.
"Luminous green gold with scintillating silver reflections. Precise and very subtle aromas with slightly toasted notes evolving into flint and spicy notes. Tasty, generous, with crunchy lemon-flavored notes on the palate. Point of salinity on the finish with splendid retro-olfaction." - Frederick Wildman Importers
