Very rarely does a wine manage to simultaneously embody great structure and depth alongside an approachable, almost overwhelming yumminess. Absolutely cellar worthy, but it is hard to resist drinking right now; notes of blueberry pie, charcuterie, wild sage, preserved plums, and baking spice practically leap out of the glass. The texture is creamy but not cloying, with buzzy soft tannins and a seamless rich finish that lingers SO very pleasantly. Drink one now and if you can avoid the temptation, hold onto a second to enjoy further down the road. An absolutely outstanding blend.
