Monte Rosso Vineyards is, hands down, one of the most storied vineyards in all of California and it is currently under the management of Brenae Royal, a viticulturist with experience and touch far beyond her years. Proving that good wine can be fudged in the production room, but great wine is made in the field, Brenae's grapes are pressed into some of the best wines in Sonoma. This is certainly true of this Zinfandel - a classic blend of red fruit, tobacco, and pepper. The long and earth finish points us home to the historic soil where it was grown.
