Weight: 6R
Varietal: Tempranillo Graciano Garnacha
Region: Rioja, Spain
Though the vintage was dry and warm, the wine it produced feels inviting and fresh. This has a classical nose of deep purple fruit, leather and graphite, cherry preserves, with a hint of balsamic. A somewhat smoky minerality adds vibrancy to the broad and concentrated palate. Impressively persistent on the finish, with floral and spice notes and fine-grained tannins. Abundant but not excessive, this is a powerful showing from Roda.
