Medium-bodied wines with more structure and a mouth-feel similar to whole milk

Antonio Galloni of Vinous has called Borgogno's No Name "one of the best values in the world of wine." Coming from three of the most celebrated Barolo Crus - Cannubi, Fossati & Liste - this bottle is not technically Barolo, and that is on purpose! The bottle is purposely declassified to be bottled at a stellar value.
The wine opens with notes of ripe red cherry, cranberry, crushed rose petal and tobacco. The palate is composed of ripe fruit, mint, earl grey tea and a fine tannic structure.
About The Varietal
Nebbiolo is the prominent grape variety responsible for the high-quality red wines found in northwestern Italy, especially the robust reds of Barolo and Barbaresco. These wines are often characterized by a unique aroma that combines scents of "tar and roses." Nebbiolo wines typically exhibit moderate body, robust tannins, elevated acidity, and are highly sought after, often commanding premium prices.
Enjoy with braised or game meats or herb heavy eggplant.
