Made from the rare, Greek local varietal, Limniona, this wine shows rich, very expressive, red fruit, herbs, minerality and cooking spices on the nose. The palate is firm and textured but never aggressive in tannin frame. Classic high-toned fruit notes are present, but with rounded, ripe tannins and a lush texture that only amphora aging can impart.

    About The Varietal

    Limniona

Limniona is a native Greek red wine grape variety that finds its origins in Thessalia. This grape variety is known for yielding deeply colored and aromatic red wines, which typically exhibit relatively high tannin and alcohol levels. However, it is characterized by a correspondingly high level of acidity, which often contributes to a well-balanced and harmonious wine profile.
