This Barbera is part of the Scarpetta project helmed by Master Sommelier Bobby Stuckey. Monferrato (in Piedmont) is the birthplace of Barbera, and oh man is this an exciting wine. Bright plum red in color, this wine is cherries and plum on the nose. Take a sip and you get all that and a hint of earthiness and mushroom on the back end of the palate. With a fresh and lively acidity, this wine is as refreshing as it is food-friendly! Pair with meats, poultry, or pasta!
