Varietal: Poulsard Trousseau Pinot Noir
Region: Cotes du Jura, Jura, France
One of the oldest winemaking domaines in all of France, the Bourdy family has been in Jura since the 1400s and is currently on their 15th generation of winemakers, led by brothers Jean-Phillipe & Jean-François. The estate has been certified biodynamic since 2006, and they make wines of exceptional terroir & tradition. Aromatically, this wine shows many similarities to Burgundy, especially brambly red fruit, rose petals, and a subtle, earth-driven mineral note. This is a classic example of Jura red!
