Matteo Pola, son of Fontanabianca's founder, Aldo Pola, continues to wow critics vintage after vintage with his amazing wines. The Pola family has some of the best vineyard sites in the village of Neive, the heart of Barbaresco. 
Fontanabianca sources grapes for one of its top wines from the. Bordini cru, which makes up this bottle. The Bordini cru is one of Barbaresco’s rare sori’s, a local term for a site with ideal exposure (translating literally to a place where sunlight arrives first). 
This wine shows intense aromas of violet and spice followed by ripe, plummy fruits and flowers. Very concentrated with structured tannins and a pleasing finish.
