Greenvale has been family run for 8 generations in Rhode Island. They consistently demonstrate commitment to stewardship of their land, authenticity of their grapes and terroir, and attention to detail in their winemaking. Vidal Blanc, a hybrid of Ugni Blanc and Rayon d’Or, is a hearty variety that grows well in colder climates. This wine is crisp and acid driven with notes of green apple and pineapple.
About The Varietal
Vidal is a hardy hybrid grape primarily cultivated in Canada and the northeastern United States. It is most renowned for being one of the key grape varieties used in the production of ice wine in Ontario, where it isgrown extensively. Ice wine, made from grapes that have naturally frozen on the vine, is a specialty of the region, and Vidal's ability to withstand cold temperatures makes it well-suited for this purpose.
Enjoy with spring vegetables, soft cheeses, or aromatic herbs and delicate spices.
