This historic house prides itself as being a harbinger of the traditional style with one of the oldest wine cellars in Piedmont. Wines from this cellar have been acclaimed for centuries and were served for the official dinner celebration of the Italian Unification in 1861 and in 1886 in honor of Nicola II Romanov Czar of Russia’s official visit. After 1959, Cesare Borgogno started a new transformation program in the organization of the company that assumes the current name “Giacomo Borgogno & Figli”. Today, Giacomo Borgogno & Figli harmoniously combine tradition and innovation in order to continue their legacy of quality Barolo production and maintain a library collection that they have meticulously safeguarded since before the second world war.
