Owned by Alicia Towns Franken, a former Server and Sommelier at Grill 23, Towns Wine Co. Inkwell is named for a Martha's Vineyard beach, a place Franken says "embodies how America should be: inclusive and welcoming." She is now the executive director of Wine Unify, a non profit working to bring more minorities into the Wine Industry through education and career opportunities.
The Inkwell Pinot Noir is juicy and fruit forward boasting beautiful aromas of ripe raspberry, cassis leaf, cacao, cranberry, with hints of pink peppercorns with rose petals, violets and pomegranate. Medium intensity of flavors follows through on the mouthwatering palate. Medium acidity, fine grained tannins, lingering pomegranate, and a long, elegant, dry finish. Perfectly paired with roast chicken or a hearty autumn salad!
