Fleur de California debuted in 1986 and was quickly dubbed “Pinot 101” by winemaker Francis Mahoney. Francis holds over 50 years of Pinot Noir research, both individually and in partnership with UC Davis, as well as a strong commitment to sustainable farming in their vineyards. Originally inspired by the wines of Burgundy and Bordeaux, Fleur de California wines focus on balance, acidity and overall quality in every bottle they produce. Their “Carneros Select” Pinot Noir brings forth flavors of bing cherry, raspberry and peppercorn with an earthy nose reminiscent of forest floor and black tea.
