Varietals: 95% Gamay, 5% Pinot Noir
Region: Cotes de Toul, Lorraine, France
The appellation of Cotes de Toul, located in northeast France on the border of Belgium, Germany, and Luxembourg, has been home to grapevines since the Roman Empire. The Lelièvre family has farmed these vines for generations, and while the region is certainly obscure, this wine is distinctive and bright, with juicy flavors of strawberry, citrus, and crushed red raspberries. Very little of this wine is ever exported out of France, so... enjoy it while it lasts!
