The Moncuit family has a rich history of cultivating some of the finest vineyards in the Côte des Blancs. They began acquiring land in 1889 and, by 1928, had started bottling their own wines at the estate. Champagne Robert Moncuit introduced their inaugural vintage of Chetillons in 2008. Les Chetillons, renowned by Champagne Pierre Peters, is a vineyard that has long been held in high regard. It represents the pinnacle of what Chardonnay can achieve in the Côte des Blancs. Robert Moncuit's Les Chetillons originates from a two-hectare plot planted in 1956 in the village of Mesnil. The wine displays a youthful and fresh character, with a nose brimming with vibrant notes of lime zest, chalk, and green apple, which will evolve with time. On the palate, it offers a dry and focused profile, boasting concentrated fresh citrus flavors of lemon, a wonderfully pure and chalky texture, and a sturdy backbone of acidity.
