Lucy was born and raised in Mexico.
She has been living in Boston and working in the restaurant industry since 2014. There she learned about wine through service, from coworkers, tastings, classes and helping organize dinners.
Her interest in wine grew when she attended a multiple course pairing dinner and realized how wine and food can complement each other so well, to the point of transforming a casual dinner into a memorable experience.
She wants to improve her wine knowledge to collaborate with chefs, host her own pairing dinners and hopefully create some memorable experiences for others.
Fun fact: she loves to make crafts with wine corks and bottles.
Allie was born and raised on the Jersey Shore, coming to Boston for school and accidentally falling in love with the city. She graduated in 2022 with a degree in Communication Studies, but her passions lie in the space where food, beverage, and community connect (fun fact: Allie co-founded Northeastern University’s beloved Cheese Club!). Her freshman year, Allie read a book about wine to try and crack this elusive, “sophisticated” topic and was instantly hooked. She realized that wine is quite approachable, but there were few resources out there aimed at young female drinkers of color like herself.
Allie hopes to democratize wine and shift the space to one that feels welcoming to all, combining her background in journalism, tech, marketing, and retail with the incredible world of wine. She wants to bring a fresh voice to the wine industry and show the next generation of wine drinkers that there is a place for them to belong.
