Sottimano is an old-school Barbaresco producer run by father and son team, Rino & Andrea Sottimano. Brachetto is a grape typically only used to make sweet, sparkling with, but the Sottimano's are one of a small handful of producers that still make a classically, dry style. Made with a uniquely Portuguese grape, Touriga Franca, this wine features fresh, green, and mineral notes on the nose with a hint of dried herbs and wet stone. The palate is predominantly fresh with red fruit and an integrated toastiness from French oak barrel aging. Extremely drinkable and well-balanced, you will want to get a few of these bottles!
