One of our favorite wines made by one of our favorite winemakers - this is our desert island wine choice. Naturally round without oak aging, this wine is an outstanding food wine that enhances whatever food it is paired with. A little oily on the palate, in a pleasingly mouth-coating way. This wine is approachable, porch-poundable, and relatable...while also being complex and nuanced. Another wonder from Giorgio Rivetti!
About The Varietal
Vermentino
Vermentino is a white wine grape cultivated in various locations around the western Mediterranean under different names such as Pigato, Favorita, and Rolle. Wines made from Vermentino and its aliases share common characteristics, most notably refreshing acidity and attractive aromas of peach, lemon peel, dried herbs, and a hint of saline minerality.
