Trefethen is a legendary estate in a legendary region of the United States. Started in the sixties when no post-Prohibition wineries had been successful, they're proud to say they've never purchased fruit from outside of the estate. The 2019 Chardonnay is exquisite, with notes of lemon-lime, apple blossom and white peach, and vanilla and biscuits (from nine months of oak aging).
