Teroldego is a fascinated grape with a long history, with historical references going back to the 13th century according to research reviewed by Foradori herself. The grape is genetically linked to Syrah, so look for subtle smoke aromas as well as darker fruit, although remaining relatively light-bodied. This wine shows tremendous textural complexity and is a fantastic pairing with lighter fare, charcuterie, and holiday classics.
About The Varietal
Teroldego is a deeply colored red wine grape primarily cultivated in the mountainous Trentino wine region of northern Italy, where it serves as the main dark-skinned variety. This grape variety is known for producing deeply pigmented red wines characterized by an intensely fruity character, becoming somewhat of an icon for Trentino's wine industry.
Enjoy with charred vegetables, bolognese, or a hearty clam bake.
