Weight: 2R
Varietal: Gamay
Region: Cote de Brouilly, Beaujolais, France
This gorgeous Gamay leads with minerality on the nose: the granite soils where these grapevines grow is incredibly prominent in the aromas. (InCôte de Brouilly, there is a constant battle againstsoil erosion. The viticulturists dig channels into the slopes to drain off water and regularly add mulch between the vines to help retain the soil. It's a lot of work, but it's a labor of love). This wine is well-made and well-balanced, offering red and blue fruit flavors, fresh acidity, and a very long finish.
