Equiano is the world’s first Afro-Caribbean rum, named for Olaudah Equiano, born in 1745 in Africa. He was kidnapped during his teens and eventually sold into slavery in the Caribbean. Olaudah crossed the Atlantic once again to England, where he traded rum on the side. Over the years, he was able to save enough money to buy his freedom. Equiano rum is named after the man and his journey.

A blend of molasses rum from the Caribbean and fresh sugarcane rum from Africa, this rum has notes of tropical fruit infused with citrus and green apple. It has a beautifully light mouthfeel with a subtle sweet note and a lingering finish.
