Over the last 20 years, Sula Vineyards has grown and established itself as a leader and innovator in the Indian Wine industry. From selling their first vintage in 2000 to quickly becoming the best wine brand in India, Sula continues to pave the way for winemakers and the industry in the country. Owner Rajeev Samant’s first introduction to wine took place during his years studying at Stanford University and working in the California tech industry. When returning home to India, and visiting his family’s land in Nashik - a region well known for growing table grapes - Rajeev’s interest’s changed and he opened Sula Vineyards. Sula comes from his mother’s name “Sulabha” and symbolizes the rich, Indian heritage of his wines. This Chenin Blanc is refreshing and easy drinking. A small amount of residual sugar gives this a slight sweetness which is balanced by the wines tart acidity.
