Lieu-dit Champagne is thought to be Jean-Louis Dutraive's most captivating wine - rich & joyful with a long capacity for aging. According to Jean-Louis, the vineyard name simply means "countryside" in local dialect. Since this name predates the infamous sparkling wine, the Beaujolais is granted historic authority to use it on their labels.
