Varietals: Grenache Blanc, Clairette
Region: Paso Robles, Central Coast, California, USA
This Chateauneuf-du-Pape style white blend comes from one of the Central Coast's most esteemed wineries, Villa Creek. The Clairette grapes ferment and age in French oak, and the Grenache Blanc fermented and aged in neutral barrels. The wine is full of yellow fruits and floral notes, with a bit of saline minerality and hints of kernel. On the palate, the wine has full body and rich texture, with fresh, zippy acidity and a long finish. Pair this with creamy pasta dishes, swordfish, or a home-made risotto.
